MUSIGA honours best worker

For the first time in MUSIGA’s history, an end-of-year staff and executive meeting was organised for executive members and staff of the Union at its head office in Accra.
The event saw Mrs. Emma Ahiave adjudged the Best Worker of the Union. The best worker was chosen through a voting system where all staff and executive members were asked to vote for anyone aside themselves.
She was presented with a four-burner gas cooker and an unspecified cash amount.
An award was also presented to the longest-serving staff of the Union. This person, Baba Nsor, has been the night security officer for the Union since 1999. He was also awarded with an unspecified cash amount and a plaque for his long service.
The ceremony witnessed some pep talk from the President, General Secretary, and the Financial Controller.
The three thanked members, staff and executives for their support over the year. A hearty gratitude was extended to all stakeholders who have helped in advancing the work of the Union.
The President, Bice Kuffour, talked about the “Ajumapa” Vision he has led the administration with. He was particularly grateful to the Government of Ghana, Mr. Kofi Tsikata of the World Bank and Dr. Kofi Amoah of Citizen Kofi for their support over the years.
